MT7668 MT7668 is a highly integrated SoC that combines 2x2 dual-band 802.11 ac Wi-Fi with MU-MIMO and Bluetooth 5.0 radios in a single package. Optimized RF architecture and baseband algorithms provide performance and low power consumption. MT7668 is designed to meet different home connectivity needs. It delivers high-definition multimedia round-trip with low latency at up to 867Mbps over 802.11ac Wi-Fi to home or mobile devices or multimedia devices (such as wirelessly connected audio systems/sound bars). It is worth noting that MT7688 supports dual-band dual concurrent (DBDC) to run 2.4 GHz and 5GHz networks simultaneously. Through its integrated Bluetooth connectivity, home Internet of Things (IoT), wearables, headsets, smart RCs or game controllers can be controlled directly. Additionally, Bluetooth 5.0 greatly increases data transfer rates over Bluetooth low energy connections. The platform is cost-effective due to its embedded high-performance PA/LNA and its on-board three-antenna design for Wi-F/Bluetooth FDD, which provides concurrent operation of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. This is coordinated by an innovative algorithm developed by MediaTek that improves performance and efficiency. Auxiliary interfaces include HIF (Host Interface) with USB3, PCI-Express, SDIO 3.0 and UART (BT).
